Why Master’s programme OLPA?

Do you have the ambition to develop as a leader within the professional field of performing arts? Then the OLPA Master’s programme is for you!

In the OLPA Master’s programme, you would learn how to achieve excellent results as a leader or manager of performing arts education programmes and performing arts productions (for example, working behind the scenes in theatres). You would learn to direct and guide professional performers and teachers. You would learn to use your own experience in the professional field to analyse the quality of a show, performance, lesson or curriculum. To achieve these goals, the following modules are offered:

Education programme

The education modules are taught by inspiring teachers from the performing arts and other backgrounds. Performing arts professionals are often invited to give lectures. During the OLPA Master’s programme, you would work in close contact with your fellow students in the community of learners. Lessons are conducted face-to-face and online, which makes it possible to combine this programme with a job.

The professional field for the graduates

As a graduate of the OLPA Master’s programme, you would be able to support a director of a show or a head of an educational institution in their responsibilities. You would be an operational manager in an ongoing production or educational programme. Your insight into quality of work and relationships with people would allow you to know what is necessary to achieve and maintain excellent results. Does the quality of a show or educational programme deteriorate over time? It would be your job to conduct research, come up with improvements and make sure they are implemented.
