Higher education (Hbo)
In collaboration with Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, LMIPA offers the Hbo-Bachelor Dance, Hbo-Bachelor Dance Teacher, and Hbo-Associate Degree Dance programmes. These programmes train students for future work as performing artists and dance teachers. You can enroll in these programmes in Amsterdam and Groningen.
Secondary vocational education (Mbo)
Within the Mbo department, LMIPA offers an Mbo Dancer education programme in collaboration with Noorderpoort College. This three-year programme is a vocational education level 4 course (Beroepsopleidende Leerweg, niveau 4). This programme is available in Amsterdam and Groningen.
Preparational education
Anyone who aims to dance professionally, must begin early. This is the reason we have a big preparational education department. These education programmes prepare primary and secondary school pupils to continue their arts education on the Mbo or Hbo level. There are different preparational programmes in Amsterdam, Groningen, Rotterdam and The Hague.
Master’s programme Operational Leadership in Performing Arts (OLPA)
The OLPA Master’s programme helps students develop as leaders within the performing arts. They learn how to achieve excellent results as leaders or managers of performing arts education programmes and performing arts productions (for example, working behind the scenes in theatres).
